About

Personal website presenting my research, publications, and interests.

I’m a staff scientist at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), where I study the visual system in nonhuman primates. I’m particularly interested in how patterns of neural activity relate to what we see and how we behave. In practice, this involves combining approaches such as electrophysiology, optogenetics, microstimulation, targeted microinjections, and psychophysics.

I work closely with several groups, including the Laboratory of Neuropsychology (LN) and the Comparative Brain Physiology Consortium (CBPC), contributing to complex surgeries and the development of new methods.

Outside of research, I enjoy hiking and backpacking, and more recently, bikepacking.
